The review will focus, in particular, upon: maximising fees and charges income in the context of policy and service objectives; the consideration of introducing new charges/services, using either the discretionary or previous charging powers; ensuring that charging policies are robust and that any subsidy is intentional and transparent; an awareness of how charges compare to other councils within Surrey and other relevant providers.
The review builds upon LG Futures' existing relationship with Surrey districts, providing a combined funding and financial briefing service on key issues affecting medium term financial planning.
