Bespoke financial management advice, training and policy research for the public sector
This places LG Futures at the forefront of the provision of financial support to councils considering reorganisation. In Suffolk, LG Futures has been selected to advise the Directors of Finance of the county council and all the district councils in Suffolk in their submission to the Boundary Committee. LG Futures' role is to model the distribution of formula grant, to advise on technical questions about the financial submission, and to challenge the financial assumptions in the proposals.
In Devon, LG Futures has been selected to support Exeter City Council, who are the lead authority for the Exeter and Exmouth unitary authority. In addition, LG Futures is providing a risk assessment for Devon County Council for their unitary proposals and is also jointly advising both the Devon County Council and Exeter City Council on the distribution of formula grant.
In Norfolk, LG Futures is advising Norfolk County Council on the disaggregation of formula grant in all the potential options for reorganisation in the county.
