LG Futures will be working with Mouchel to develop a cost model for Walsall Community Health Trust (the provider arm of Walsall PCT). The model will be based on a number of different data sources to show the costs of activity under the current professional and the new patient level service regimes. The model itself will merge financial and activity data to develop fully absorbed unit costs for all services carried out by the Trust. The model will not only be useful in the run up to Community Services Payment by Results, but will have immediate benefits in measuring efficiency and value for money.
