LG Futures will be assessing whether the data used by central government to inform the borough’s current funding levels is accurate and will support the council’s officers in ensuring the accurate submission of data returns to central government departments. The overall aim of the project is to seek to ensure that the borough receives its full share of ‘entitled’ government funding. The final outcomes from this research will include: an evidenced-based challenge of the borough’s data indicators, based on a statistical analysis of Census, government department and local data sources; a review of the borough’s data processes; a risk analysis of future changes in responsibility for the borough; and a forecasting model highlighting future client group trends.
