The research will take place in the context of the publication of the Government’s July 2009 Green Paper on Social Care; “Shaping the Future of Care Together”. The paper presents the principles for a new National Care Service and includes three alternative funding models in relation to a potential new care system. The research will assess the current costs of adult social care provision in London, project future costs and assess the implications for London of the Green Paper funding models.
