LG Futures will be assisting several London Boroughs and Unitary authorities analysing the implications of the new local government funding system that will be introduced from April 2006. A new ‘complex’ four-block funding model is to be used, which represents a significant departure from the previous funding system.
LG Futures will be explaining the methodology behind the new system and undertaking detailed analysis for individual local authority clients. Support will also be provided on the best approaches for making representations to central government.
