Funding Formulae & Modelling
Our team has significant statistical and modelling expertise and we specialise in all aspects of central government funding to local authorities, including:
- In-depth analysis of the implications of the local government finance settlement on behalf of over 150 local authorities
- Preparing the evidence base and establishing a financial case where authorities and groupings are potentially under-resourced
- Data analysis and statistical modelling, including detailed knowledge of demographic, socio-economic, health bodies and education datasets
- Developing financial models to identify the impact of changing demography and service demand, to manage future cost pressures
- Reviewing existing and developing new funding formulae on behalf of central government, health, local authorities and schools
Department of Health Adult Social Care Report
In 2010, LG Futures was commissioned by the Department of Health to undertake a feasibility study of the data collection requirements for a future review of the Adult Social Care Relative Needs Formulae. A copy of the final report can be downloaded here.
